smiles on their faces

12 February 2011, Saturday | 10th day of CNY
Lions Club of George Town Mutiara organized a CNY dinner for the old folks at the Penang Home for the Inform and Aged.

I can see smiles on their faces today. A couple of them actually told me that they really enjoyed themselves very much and think that they are blessed :)

This reminds me of this year's Petronas CNY commercial which was directed by Tan Yew Leong, husband of the late Yasmin Ahmad.

facebook.com/SayNoToNaff

UNICEF is asking that instead of resorting to naff gifts that
clutter up the house, people SAY NO TO NAFF and give a gift that does
good
,” says Dennis McKinlay, UNICEF New Zealand Executive Director.

30 December 2010, Tuesday, 1-3am
Thanks to Nigel Koeh and Justin Fong for helping me to chalk the streets of Auckland for UNICEF's Say No To Naff till 3am. We've covered Symonds Street, K Road, Ponsonby Road, and Queen Street.

i saw that UNICEF NZ needed help to chalk the streets from their fb.
since i'm so free and unemployed, other than searching for jobs,
i wanted to do something meaningful.
(yes, someone please hire me!)
i e-mailed them and they sent me a package with the chalks and a letter.
and there i went out to the streets with the boys to do the chalking.

21st Century- Through My Lens.

my eyes and my camera.

Growing Up in the 21st Century, in different parts of the world, having different perspectives on things. Limitations and advantages are part and parcel of us...boys and girls. Stereo typing's another problem.

Through my 3 photos in the photo contest by Plan UK and Shoot Experience, I share what girls in India are today.

In India, there are many girls who do not
have the opportunity to study.
With no education, the girls face discrimination everyday.
When will the get the opportunity to
Live. Laugh. Learn. Love?

I really hope that the society can be more equal and they do not stereotype girls as the weaker group. And that they are given the chance to Live. to Laugh. to Learn. and to Love.

Let my photos speak...

Because I'm a girl.
There's no difference between a girl and a boy.
I can live. I can laugh. I can learn. I can love. For I am a girl.

What's holding me back?
My future in my hands today?

What could I be?
Mom's Pride.

Click on my photos to RATE them.
Thanks a bunch!
