Paid respect to our ancestors and welcomed them to the new year.
 
Too Thor Th'ng (Pork Belly Soup)
Hokkien/ Penang Nyonya delicacy. 
Signature soup served during Chinese New Year.

Huat Kuih (Steamed Rice Cake)
Huat means Luck/Prosperity.

Jiu Hu Char (Fried Jicama/Yambean with Shredded Cuttlefish)
An essential dish that is prepared for Chinese New Year.

Loh Bak (Five-Spice Pork Roll)
Made with marinated pork in Chinese five-spice powder and then rolled up with bean curd skin.

2 February 2011, Wednesday
- reunion steamboat dinner.

- Mark came over before we went back to kampung for prayers and countdown.
(non-stop fireworks for 20 minutes straight!)

 
3 February 2011, Thursday
1st day of chinese new year
- Pek Hoon Sua temple at Mount Erskine

- dinner at home
